Perennial Plant Society of Middle TennesseeThe Perennial Plant Society of Middle Tennessee is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1991 to provide education about perennial plants and to promote their use in the landscape.  Membership is open to anyone interested in gardening with perennials.  Dues are $20 per year.  Benefits include a quarterly newsletter, monthly program announcements, and private garden tours.  Current active membership is about 220 people from Middle Tennessee.

Meetings are open to the public and are held at Cheekwood’s Botanic Hall in Nashville on the third Tuesday evening of each month (except June and December).  Programs start at 7 p.m., but most members and guests arrive around 6:30 p.m. to enjoy refreshments, peruse the free plant table and socialize with other members.

The organization is well known for its yearly perennial plant sale.  The 2010 sale will be held on Saturday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville.
